Executive Coaching Basics
-
Executive coaching helps leaders clarify goals, build confidence, and develop practical skills to lead themselves and others more effectively.
-
Leaders who want to increase their impact, navigate complex decisions, manage teams more effectively, or overcome self-doubt or imposter syndrome often get the most value.
-
You lead the conversation. I ask questions, offer frameworks and insights, and help you reflect on challenges. Together, we create practical actions you can implement immediately.
-
Coaching is forward-focused and goal-oriented. Therapy explores past experiences and emotional healing—coaching focuses on actionable strategies to succeed in your current role.
-
Unlike training, coaching is tailored to you and your context, not generic content. Unlike consulting, I don’t give advice or tell you what you should do. I guide you to discover solutions that work for your unique situation.
-
Assessments give a clear view of your leadership strengths and blind spots. Emotional intelligence—skills like self-awareness, empathy, and relationship management—is a key predictor of effective leadership and team performance. The EQ-i 2.0 helps us turn those insights into practical goals you can use right away.
-
Most clients start with 60 minute sessions every 2–3 weeks, but we can adjust frequency based on your needs and goals.
Workshops
-
I offer two main types:
Team workshops are for people who work together day-to-day and share common goals. They focus on building trust, accountability, and psychological safety, often using the Fearless Organization Scan.
Leadership workshops are for people in similar roles, like managers or team leaders, who may not work together directly. These workshops focus on practical skills like emotional intelligence, psychological safety, and having difficult conversations.
Every session is interactive and tailored to the group’s needs.
-
Workshops range from 1–3 hours for focused topics, half-day for in-depth leadership sessions, or full-day for comprehensive programs.
-
It’s a short survey—just seven questions—that gives valuable insights into your team’s psychological safety. The magic happens in the workshop, where we review results and start honest conversations about how to improve.
-
Absolutely. We tailor content, exercises, and outcomes to address your team’s current challenges, goals, and culture.
-
Workshops can be for intact teams, leadership groups, or mixed participants from across an organization. I adapt facilitation to the group’s size and objectives.
-
Teams leave with practical tools, actionable strategies, and stronger trust and alignment. They learn to communicate openly, share accountability, and improve performance.
Process and Logitics
-
I start with a conversation to understand you, your team, or your group. This helps determine what kind of support will be most meaningful. We’ll also decide together if we’re the right fit—effective coaching or workshops require a strong partnership.
-
Once we agree to work together, I guide you through all prep. This might include scheduling, communication to participants, and logistics. For the Fearless Organization Scan, it only takes a few minutes for participants to complete, and I’ll explain how we’ll use the results in the session.
-
Absolutely. Everything I do is tailored to your goals, team dynamics, and schedule. Workshops can be half-day, full-day, or multiple sessions. Coaching can be short-term, longer-term, or focused on specific challenges. I’m flexible and work with you to meet your objectives.
-
Yes—everything can be done virtually. In-person sessions are available when possible, which is often ideal for longer workshops or team sessions.
-
I create a safe, interactive space where participants engage and practice new skills. For coaching, you lead the conversation while I guide reflection, share frameworks, and offer insights. For workshops, we mix discussion, exercises, and practical tools so learning can be applied immediately.
